Our vision as a team is triple:

Online education for all ages has recently evolved. Our mission is to provide our learners with on-line Greek language courses using the latest digital learning tools. Our students may choose to become members of distance learning communities or to attend private lessons. It is our commitment to help you exercise and develop your Greek language skills and introduce you in the Greek culture of 21 century.
Our teachers have structured the curricula of every level (beginners/ intermediates/ advanced) and organized all courses using latest e-learning strategies that support learners meet their achievement goals. Moreover, you will receive constructive feedback that will encourage you to reflect on your learning. We also implement peer-assessment and self-assessment techniques to assess your performance.
We aim to bring you in contact with everyday life in Greece and culture in many ways. For instance, all the reading texts, dialogues, listening and speaking exercises are designed under the scope of daily life. We want our students to feel confident to communicate in Greek at a daily basis. At the same time, our lessons encourage the presentation of Greek cultural information that is worth learning.

During the courses of ‘Greek for business purposes’, learners will step by step build their language skills to meet their professional expectations and at the same time speak fluently in their daily routine.
Candidates of Ellinomatheia exams will attend courses according to their exam level and will receive coaching that enables them get the Ellinomatheia certificate.

Teacher’s role
Teacher’s role is demanding.
During the online courses, your teacher will apply individualised learning methods that each learner needs. Accoding to student’s strengths, difficulties and the reasons why he or she attends Greek lessons, your teacher will apply suitable learning techniques and material for every learner .
Students will be provided with formative feedback that will help them move their learning onto the next step. During the lessons, they will complete a lot of exercises that they will correct with their teachers and write their score by themselves. They need to be given constructive feedback to feel more confident and to complete homework exercises with ease.
Teachers will prepare candidates effectively for the Ellinomatheia exams. They will provide students with past papers and revision tests so as practise continuously and progress in all the parts of the exams (reading comprehension, writing, speaking, listening). All in all, teachers will help candidates build their confidence for the oral and writing parts of the Ellinomatheia exams.

The leader of the team
I have been working for 10 years at St Catherine’s British School of Athens. Teaching Greek as a second language to KS3, KS4 students, staff and parents was part of my duties. Furthermore, I have been teaching Greek Mythology to KS1 students, Classical Civilization to KS3 students and been a tour guide during educational school trips to Ancient Agora and Roman Agora of Athens, Ancient Corinth and Nafplion. Coordinating the KS3 Students’ Council and creating curricula for the prementioned subject were additinal responsibilities I had.
Last but not least, I was an examiner of oral IGCSEnexams. Before St Catherine’s British School, I have been a teacher of Ancient and Moden Greek, Greek Literature to HAEF (Hellenic American Foundation) Public Schools of Piraeus and Kastella, ARNOS (Studies and Publishing), Hippokratis College, Fronein Centre of Ancient Greek Language are more school and educational centres I used to teach.
